Today we celebrated the last day before winter break with a festive Unified Pancake Breakfast!

On Saturday, December 13th, 2025, Ms Maggie Grapevine, a junior at TrekNorth High School, tested for her 1st Degree Junior Black Belt in an evaluation that lasted 2 hours and 34 minutes.
With the assistance of Assistant Instructor Vincent Noble and Junior Instructor Merayah Torgerson, Ms. Maggie showed great poise and determination, navigating the rigorous trial and emerging successful.
Congratulations to Ms. Maggie Grapevine for passing her 1st Degree Junior Black Belt test. She is the first person in TrekNorth history to earn a black belt in Keumgang TaeKwonDo; an honor she will carry in perpetuity.

Thank you, Chicago! We are on our way home after a busy week working with the Br. David Darst Center.
Final day in Chicago before we head home was educational. We went to Kolbe House to learn about the jail ministry and then spent time at the court house watching first appearances.
Day 3 in Chicago was our free day! Bus rides, train rides, Chinatown, Millennium Park, and deep dish pizza!
Day 2 in Chicago was filled with French toast, learning about Streetwise, helping sort at Crayons to Cradles, and pasta bar.
Day 1 in Chicago was filled with baking, reading, learning, and service. It was a great day!
Our crew arrived in Chicago late last night and we're already up cooking this morning. It's going to be a great week!

TrekNorth JH Student Council had an amazing day at the Statewide Leadership Summit at MOA. They were engaged in activities and discussions, they learned and shared ideas of how to make our school and local community a better place for EVERYONE! Then 2 hours of fun at Nickelodean Universe!
